Val will next be seen on Netflix in Robert Zemeckis' Anthology series, "MEDAL OF HONOR".He is best known for his portrayal of Sal Mineo in the independent film "SAL", written and directed by James Franco. The film had the Saturday Night premiere at the Venice Film Festival with Val's performance receiving rave reviews.The Hollywood Reporter deemed him "magnetic" and "compulsively watchable", while the Los Angeles Times called it "a groundbreaking performance".Val just wrapped the crime comedy "CLOVER", playing the supporting lead opposite Ron Pearlman and Chazz Palminteri. Previously, Val supported opposite Morgan Freeman and Clive Owen in Lionsgate's drama, "The Last Knights."On TV, Val has played Recurring arcs and Guest Leads on a number of shows. His most recent arc being the season 3 Villain on "GRACELAND."Val is multi-ethnic and has a visceral quality to his work which has been continually praised by major publications such as Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Los Angeles and New York Times among others, for his work in Film and Theater.On stage, Val and frequent collaborator Scott Caan have premiered over a dozen of Caan's recently published plays.
