Luis Bordonada

Luis Bordonada was born in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Mexican and Puerto Rican parents. He was raised in Parral, Chihuahua by his grandparents until his grandmother passed away when he was 10 years old. After his grandmother's death, Luis was sent to the United States to live with his parents in El Paso, Texas. He began participating in plays at the church his parents attended and in school. Luis enlisted in active duty Army after graduating High School in 1997 and was discharged honorably in 2001, but continued serving with the National Guard until 2003. He started his theatre education at El Paso Community College theater program under the guidance of Prof. Hector Serrano, founder of Viva El Paso and Shakespeare on The Rocks Theater Festival. Luis has since continued reinforcing his education through the University of New Mexico Theater Program. His first break in film came from the Hughes Brothers in their film The Book of Eli in 2010.
