Based out of Los Angeles and Berlin, Gabriela Bacher has been working as a producer and executive on both sides of the Atlantic. As MD of Summerstorm Entertainment her recent credits include Endless starring Alexandra Shipp and Nicholas Hamilton; Julien Landais' The Aspern Papers starring Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson and Jonathan Rhys Meyers; and Matthew Ross' Siberia starring Keanu Reeves. As CEO of Film House Germany she oversaw a slate that included: The Exception directed by David Leveaux, starring Christopher Plummer, Lily James and Jai Courtney, and Bernard Rose's The Devil's Violinist and Frankenstein starring Carrie-Anne Moss and Danny Houston. She further manages the partnership with Basil Iwanyk's Thunder Road Pictures.Bacher's career has seen her work with both independents and major studios. Following her early days in Germany working in production and collaborating with a number of directors whose innovative work would later inform her own artistic sensibilities, she successfully transitioned over to Los Angeles. First establishing the LA offices of Kirch Group, then taking charge of physical production at Constantin Film, and later founding her own production company, Primary Pictures.Bacher went on to become CEO of Vivendi's Studio Babelsberg Motion Pictures, where she played a significant role in the famous studio's restructuring and modernization. Soon after, she spent several years consulting with Twentieth Century Fox on titles including Marco Kreuzpaintner's adaptation of YA fantasy novel Krabat and Trade starring Academy Award-winner Kevin Kline, and then headed the German activities of Fox International Productions, producing a.o's Matthias Schweighofer's directorial debut, the rom-com hit What a Man.
